Authorities who had been searching a Missouri farm for two missing Wisconsin brothers announced Wednesday that human remains have been found there, more than a week after the pair disappeared during a trip for their livestock business.

Authorities are searching for two brothers from Wisconsin who were reported missing after traveling to Missouri.

MSHP says troopers reportedly observed the vehicle near the 57-mile marker on I-35 traveling at a high rate of speed. The suspect vehicle fled from troopers who attempted a traffic stop and a pursuit was initiated. The pursuit continued northbound on I-35, and near the 62-mile marker the suspect fired shots at the pursuing trooper.

A man who escaped from prison and then shot at law enforcement officers who were chasing him has been sentenced to 128 years in prison.
