Prior to the Sedalia Area Chamber of Commerce Breakfast this Thursday morning (Dec. 12), KSIS had the opportunity to talk to Sedalia Mayor Elaine Horn about upcoming events  this weekend. Mayor Horn will be riding in the parade this year, which will take place at 10:00 Saturday morning after being delayed by cold weather last Saturday.

Sedalia Mayor Elaine Horn announced she would not seek another term as mayor in 2014 at a news conference this afternoon (Nov. 21).

The City of Sedalia held an open meeting on Tuesday evening (Oct. 1) regarding Phase lll of the Streetscape project. The project includes the arch that will be built just off Broadway on South Ohio. The informational meeting brought out downtown merchants whose businesses will be affected by the construction project.

At 1:00 this afternoon (Sept. 26), Sedalia Mayor Elaine Horn and the Sedalia City Council cut the ribbon to re-open the Washington Street Viaduct. In attendance were city staff and representatives of the contracting company that accomplished the work on the viaduct, as well as citizens of Sedalia who had long anticipated the event...
