There will be a blood drive with the Community Blood Center today (Dec. 10) from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the First Christian Church, 200 South Limit.
At one point in my life I was headed in a completely different direction than the one I currently walk. Yes, I did all sorts of things as a kid, but generally there was a common theme to a lot of it. I really liked school, and I loved the libraries. So of course, I had my head in books a lot.

As we all know, I am a sucker for animals. Just last week, the boyfriend and I nearly walked away with a dog after an adoption event. But rest assured, we walked away without the dog, and only because it's not feasible NOW to get one. We will have a dog when we're not living in a one bedroom apartment.
Around this time of year a lot of groups are gearing up for the big Relay for Life Fundraiser. It's a great cause, and I'm sure all of us in some way or another have been touched by cancer.
