After scrambling to pull together $50 million in tax breaks for General Motors, some Missouri lawmakers say the company is coming up short so far with its promises for job retention at a suburban St. Louis plant.

General Motors says it will build a new vehicle at its plant in Kansas City, Kansas.

General Motors today announced a $600-million investment in the Fairfax Assembly and Stamping Plant, including the construction of a new 450,000 square-foot paint shop, the installation of a new stamping press and other upgrades.
