A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit from a former Missouri State Highway Patrol sergeant who alleged he was discriminated against after speaking out about the drowning of a handcuffed Iowa man.

A lawsuit has been filed against the Iowa Utilities board for authorizing use of eminent domain to access land for the Bakken oil pipeline.

What about Santa Claus, Indiana, Hell, Michigan or Friendly, West Virginia? Every state has at least a handful of town names that raise eyebrows. Here are a few crazy town names from Illinois, Missouri and Iowa.

There are a lot of crazy, weird and unusual laws still on the books in every state in America. Most of these laws were passed years and years ago in a very different time, and they simply have never been taken off the books. Upon looking at many of them, it's a real good thing these laws aren't still enforced.

A class-action lawsuit has been filed on behalf of anyone who bought diesel-engine Volkswagens in Iowa.

Miss Iowa is definitely the whole package.

You certainly can't fire somebody just for being a woman. However if that woman happens to be also be "irresistible," her attractiveness can well be grounds for termination, apparently. Seems unfair and counterintuitive, but it's true.
