An anonymous tip has led to the arrest of a Holden man in a case in which over a dozen dogs were dumped near the Warrensburg Animal Shelter on Independence Day, July 4.

36-year-old Robert Francis Douglas was taken into custody by the Bates County Sheriff's Department on Tuesday, September 11, after a vehicle pursuit. The Johnson County Sheriff's Department had been looking for Douglas as a person of interest related to several crimes.
