Missouri's most wanted fugitive, Anthony V. Digirolamo, was arrested today.

Authorities have arrested a man who is accused of hitting a sheriff's deputy with a car in Johnson County.

An anonymous tip has led to the arrest of a Holden man in a case in which over a dozen dogs were dumped near the Warrensburg Animal Shelter on Independence Day, July 4.

On Feb. 9, 2013 at 1:11a.m., Deputies with the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to 17 S.E. 971 Road in Knob Noster, on a report of a female suffering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The following is an open letter sent to President Barack Obama on the morning of Jan. 17 from Johnson County Sheriff Chuck Heiss in regard to the Obama Administration's recent  gun control proposal.

36-year-old Robert Francis Douglas was taken into custody by the Bates County Sheriff's Department on Tuesday, September 11, after a vehicle pursuit.  The Johnson County Sheriff's Department had been looking for Douglas as a person of interest related to several crimes.

The Johnson County Sheriff's Department is looking for your help in locating a man that is wanted for questioning.  Robert Francis Douglas is wanted for questioning in reference to a number of auto thefts and burglaries in Johnson, Henry, Lafayette, and Cass County.
