Until it does. And when things go wrong at dinosaur theme parks, things go really wrong.

The first clip from Jurassic World has arrived and it showcases something much bigger and so much more unstoppable than any dinosaur. Yes, we’re talking about Chris Pratt, who became one of the biggest movie stars in the world overnight thanks to Guardians of the Galaxy. Despite those Jurassic World trailers that made him appear a little too wooden and glum, this clip is proof that Colin Trevorrow’s sequel will take full advantage of its leading man’s roguish charms.

In the Jurassic World trailer, careful editing ensured that we only catch tiny glimpses of the Indominus Rex, the genetically modified dinosaur cooked up by scientists to increase attendance to their theme park. But if you were expecting our first really good look at this guy to come from another trailer, you were wrong. This is the year 2015. These kinds of things get revealed in toy form these days.

Your Christmas gift from ‘Jurassic World’ has arrived early. Previously, the first trailer for the upcoming sequel had teased a moment near the end in which Chris Pratt’s character appeared to be teaming up with the super lethal velociraptors to take down the super-smart hybrid dinosaur wreaking havoc in the world’s most ill-advised theme park. And now director Colin Trevorrow has revealed this pretty rad new photo of Pratt hanging tough with one of his raptor pals.

Much was made about how the ‘Avengers 2' trailer broke online viewing records for 2014, shattering the previous record by ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’. But, records were made to be broken and it took just over a month for the ‘Avengers 2’ trailer to be surpassed, not surprisingly by the ‘Star Wars: Episode 7’ trailer, which, if it keeps up at its current pace, could set the all-time record for trailer views.

Released in 1993, ‘Jurassic Park’ is still one of the biggest movies of all-time and one of the best action-adventure movies of the blockbuster era. While the previous ‘Jurassic Park’ films dealt with the folly of John Hammond’s original plans for the park, this new film imagines a world where Jurassic Park is now up and running. The kinks have been worked out. Raptors are trained. But, people are still people and that means they do really stupid things. Like create massive “hybrid” dinosaurs to goose attendance at their park.

A few days ago, the YouTube page for Universal Spain posted memorable footage of the cup of water vibrating from ‘Jurassic Park’ as a teaser for ‘Jurassic World,’ which seemed pretty curious. But today brings our first official footage from ‘Jurassic World’ in the form of a far more awesome teaser for the trailer, which will hit the web on Thanksgiving day. If that’s not something to be thankful for, what is?
