Kids, there seems to be always something happening in our area. You just might not know about what's going on! So, here's a list of some of the stuff that's happening 'round in our parts.
Cliff Knickmeyer is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and currently a LaMonte police officer. During a pursuit of a suspect, he noticed something wrong with his toe. He assumed that it was injured in the chase. When it didn't heal for a week, he visited his physician and found out blood clots in his leg were to blame and he would require surgery.
The Pettis County Hazmat Team and Lamonte Volunteer Fire Department were summoned to the parking lot of the Casey’s General Store in Lamonte on the evening of Sunday, July 1, where and the area was cordoned off pending investigation of an the unknown chemical that injured two Lamonte police officers.
