The Liberty Center Association of the Arts is planning on some fun this week. They're going to have a huge musical production coming up next year, and you can get involved!

The holidays are full of magic and excitement.  Everybody in our area is thinking of what their plans might be or which events to attend to make this season special.  One way you can do that is with A Sedalia Christmas.

What a great night of entertainment at the Liberty Center on Saturday night (Nov. 10)! Taking center stage with his band was Royal Wade Kimes. Kimes has worked with some of the biggest names in country entertainment, including Loretta Lynn and Garth Brooks (Kimes helped write, "We Bury the Hatchet" which sold 17 million copies). I like to consider Kevin Walker a good friend of mine. Many of you in the community know him, and even if you don't, chances are you've seen his photographs somewhere. He's been taking pictures for 37 years, and over the last two years he's taken over 25,000 photos on his digital camera. This Friday, we get to see the best of the best.

The Great American Trailer Park Musical had their season opener at The Liberty Center Association for the Arts on Thursday to a huge reaction. It's still playing, and you shouldn't miss out on your chance to see it!

For three years now, we've been lucky enough here in Sedalia to see some truly evocative and interesting activities and art with the Queen of the Prairies Festival of the Arts.

Something big is coming to the Liberty Center.  This October they're going to be presenting the Great American Trailer Park Musical.  Fred Norman, the director of the show, came in to talk to us about getting YOU to audition!

The Great American Trailer Park Musical will kick off the 2013 season at the Liberty Center Association for the Arts. Auditions for the show will be July 29 and 30 at 6:30 p.m. at the Center located at 111 West 5th Street in Sedalia. Cast will be adult men and women ages 18-55.

The Liberty Center Association for the Arts is currently accepting nominations for the STAR Award.  To nominate someone for the award, you should obtain as much detailed information about your nominee’s arts accomplishments as possible. The more details, the more likely the committee is to consider your person since they may not be familiar with everything your candidate has done.
