Mark Twain Apartments

Well, today (July 18) is one of those days that isn't very pleasant, but is very important.  Like the day my mother died, like the day my grandmother died, it's something that I dread happening.  If you'll bear with me, though, I feel like it should be something we talk about.

Kids, as you probably remember, I was one of the people who lived in the Mark Twain apartments here in Sedalia.  And now, as of tomorrow, I think I can finally come to an ending on this situation.

Kids, this weekend was a busy one.  We had two nights out at the Mark Twain Apartments Fundraiser out at Dukes and Boots.

Usually there is a line that even the lowest criminal will not cross.  That line is the one that takes advantage of a tragedy. In the police report for July 26, 2012, there was one of those stories that points out that we have someone in this area who has stooped that low.

UPDATE: KSIS's Jack Miller spoke with Sedalia Police Battalion Chief Paul Withers this morning (July 19), who updated us on the fire that destroyed the Mark Twain Apartment Building last night. Withers says that the building has not fallen down, and the blaze has been tamed despite several "hot spots" at the building.  Police have blocked off the building  and the public is being asked t
