At 10:45 p.m. on Sunday, August 6, 2017, a Clinton police officer initiated a traffic stop on a 2008 Dodge Nitro for a traffic violation on Green Street south of Missouri Highway 13.

At approximately 11:45 p.m. on September 29, 2016, the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Audrain County Sheriff's Office responded to an apartment complex in the area of Trabue Drive in Farber, MO, in reference to a call about a possible hostage situation.
An August 31 vehicle pursuit in Barry County ended with an officer shooting the suspect, who later died in a hospital. The Missouri State Highway Patrol has identified the suspect as 38-year-old Thomas E. Sekscinski of Aurora.
