Many gathered for the 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony at the University of Central Missouri (UCM) on Tuesday afternoon in the Quadrangle of campus.  The President of UCM Chuck Ambrose welcomed those that came to reflect on the meaning of this day and remember those that died on this tragic day in 2001.

As if we needed another reason to hate the Kardashians... A man from Concordia reported to Pettis County Deputies the theft of a red 2004 Chevrolet truck from a parking lot in the 19000 Block of Whitfield Road between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. September 10. There were leads or suspects at the time of the report, however the investigation continues.

In what's become a grim and somber ritual for Americans, citizens will gather Tuesday to mark the 11th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks, in which Islamic extremists killed nearly 3,000 people. Thousands are expected to come together in New York City, Washington, DC and Pennsylvania to pay their respects.

On the 11th anniversary of September 11, 2001, intelligence officials say there is no "credible or specific" threat that terrorist organizations are planning an attack.

On the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, several events will be held in the area on Tuesday, September 11, 2012.  These events will honor the men and women who lost their lives in the attack and the heroes who served their country in its darkest hour.
