Although the amount pledged was about $27,000 shy of the $505,696 campaign goal, the 2015-16 Sedalia-Pettis County United Way campaign was considered a success by most everyone involved, as evidenced by the multitude of awards handed out at Friday’s annual UW Award Luncheon, held at Best Western, 32nd and Limit.

Last night, (Oct. 1) the Sacred Heart faculty and Smith-Cotton faulty went head to head at the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center on the campus of State Fair Community College. The Sedalia/Pettis County United Way held their recognition day for the 2012-2013 Campaign today (Feb. 15). The Campaign fell just shy of the $575,000 goal that was set. Campaign Chair Deidre Esquivel said that that even though it came up short, they will be able to help out the agencies as best they can.
The third annual Sedalia-Pettis County United Way Campaign Kickoff was held at Convention Hall in Liberty Park on Thursday, August 30 at noon. For the last three years, United Way has had celebrity chefs cook for the crowd to show how people can come together for the betterment of the community.
