Kansas City International Airport is experiencing a lot of cancelled and delayed flights due to the freezing rain and cold temperatures this afternoon.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Kansas City area and Northwest Missouri until 10:00PM CST.

With freezing weather impacting our area early next week Knob Noster State Park is closing some structures and amenities for infrastructure protection.

One Kansas City meteorologist says we might see some snow flakes as early as next week.
