It's already mid-October, and the holiday season will be here before you know it. If you need a little help in making sure your family experiences a merry Christmas, the Sedalia Salvation Army can help.

Families may now sign up for their Christmas Assistance program. The program, offered by the Sedalia Salvation Army, is open to Pettis County residents and provides a meal to prepare at home and toys for children 17 and under.

Applications for the program will be accepted in person at the Sedalia Salvation Army Service Center, 1200 E. Broadway, on Tuesdays and Thursdays between the hours of 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM CST through December 2, 2021. You may also sign up by email, provided you have a way to print and scan the documents necessary to sign up. Or you can call the Salvation Army and request the forms be sent to you by calling 826-1525.

There will be one Saturday sign-up for the program, on Saturday, November 20, 2021 between 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM CST.

The Salvation Army will need one form of ID for every member of the household, proof of income, and proof of address which can usually be found on the same document as proof of income.

This year the Salvation Army will need to pick out the gifts, however, they will take suggestions for parents. Distribution will be Monday, December 13 - Thursday, December 16 and will be done car side vs. people entering the building.

The Sedalia Salvation Army kindly requests that households sign up for either the Christmas Assistance Program or Community Santa, but not both programs.
