Three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident that occurred in Johnson County Saturday evening.

According to the MSHP, 17-year-old Chaunita A. Dube of St. Joseph was the driver of a westbound 2007 Mercury on Route WW at SE 1200 Road at 7:10 p.m., when Dube failed to yield to a southbound 2010 Toyota driven by 25-year-old Makenzie P. Bickers of Knob Noster and the vehicles collided.

Dube and her 14-year-old passenger, Reely J. Ashby of Windsor, both suffered serious injuries and were transported to Western Missouri Medical Center Pettis County EMS. Bickers suffered minor injuries and was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by private vehicle. All three were wearing a safety device, according to the report.

Both vehicles were totaled.
