News Talk 1050 KSIS "Sedalia's News Leader" received the following press release from Major League Baseball and the St. Louis Cardinals regarding today's game between the Cardinals and Brewers.

Today’s scheduled game between the Milwaukee Brewers and the St. Louis Cardinals at Miller Park has been rescheduled as part of a traditional doubleheader on Sunday, August 2nd at 1:10 PM CDT. The rescheduling as a result of two positive COVID-19 tests in the Cardinals’ organization is consistent with protocols to allow enough time for additional testing and contact tracing to be conducted. Saturday’s game between the Clubs will remain as scheduled for 6:10PM CDT. Major League Baseball will continue to provide updates as appropriate.

In another release from the St. Louis Cardinals, the team says they learned two players tested positive for COVID-19 in tests administered before Wednesday night's game against the Minnesota Twins late last night. The Cardinals did not leave their Milwaukee hotel for Miller Park this morning and the Brewers team and staff are self isolating in their Milwaukee Hotel rooms until further notice.
