I've always had the desire to dress up JJ "The Chill Hound", our pet greyhound, as a Greyhound bus for Halloween. Some year we'll get the motivation to try it, complete with driver's cap. If you already have your dog's Halloween costume planned out there's a dog costume contest happening during Warrensburg Main Street's Downtown Trick-or-Treat on Thursday October 31.

It's the first year Warrensburg Main Street is holding a dog costume contest. Participants are asked to bring your friendly, creatively dressed, dog to the Old Drum Statue on the Courthouse Square at 5:00PM CDT.

The dog costume contest is only one event going on as part of the Downtown Trick-or-Treat festivities. There's also a costume contest for kids and teens at the Old Drum Statue. Additionally, the Johnson County Fire District will be providing hot dogs, the UCM Dance Team will perform Thriller on Holden Street, pony rides for the kids, and lots of candy.

For more information you can see the event page here.
