Four people, including three juveniles, were injured Wednesday evening after a truck crested a hill and struck a horse-drawn buggy in Henry County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a westbound 1999 Dodge Ram driven by 17-year-old Clayton L. Close of Windsor crested a hill on Highway E, east of NE 1281 Road at 6:45 p.m., and struck a westbound horse-drawn, two seat, topped buggy in the rear.

The driver of the buggy, 36-year-old Jay A. Wagler of Windsor, suffered moderate injuries and was transported by PCAD to Regional Medical Center in Kansas City.

Three juveniles were also injured, including an 8-, 9- and 13-year-old. All had serious injuries. The 8-year-old was flown to Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City by Air Evac, while the 9- and 13-year-old were flown to Children's Mercy by Lifeflight Eagle.

None of the injured were wearing seat belts.

The Dodge Ram had moderate damage, while the buggy was destroyed.

Henry County deputies assisted the Patrol at the scene.
