Two-car Crash Injures California Woman in Pettis County

A California woman suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident that occurred New Year's Day in Pettis County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, both vehicles were eastbound on US 50 at Route O at 5:45 p.m. when a 1980 GMC driven by 49-year-old Brian K. Allen of Green Ridge slowed to make a left-hand turn when he was overtaken and struck by a 2016 Honda CRV driven by 37-year-old Kate L. Linhardt of California.

Linhardt was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by PCAD. Allen was not listed as injured in the report. His GMC had minor damage and was driven from the scene, while the CRV was totaled and was towed from the scene by Don's Truck Towing.

Both drivers were wearing a safety device, the report said.
