Two juveniles were injured in Morgan County Friday evening after the driver became distracted and ran off the road.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol a 15-year-old male juvenile was the driver of a northbound 1994 Dodge 1500 on Little Buffalo Road, a little over two miles south of Route T at 6:45 p.m., when the driver was distracted by occupants of the vehicle, and the truck exited the left side of the roadway, striking a fence and a tree.

The 15-year-old driver had serious injuries, while one of his passengers, another 15-year-old male juvenile, both from Stover, had moderate injuries. Neither were wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report. Both were transported to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach by Mid-Mo EMS, for treatment.

The Dodge 1500 was totaled.
