Two Sedalia Residents Injured in Monday Morning Wreck
Two Sedalia residents suffered injuries early Monday morning in a one-vehicle wreck.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the accident just after 1:00 a.m. on Goodwill Chapel Road at McVey Road.
According to the online crash report, a 2008 Chevy Colorado was traveling north on Goodwill Chapel Road, when the driver failed to stop at a stop sign. The Chevy crossed McVey Road and struck a tree. The vehicle then came to rest.
The driver, 27-year-old Robert L. Smith, suffered moderate injuries, while a passenger, 30-year-old Karen N. Metz, suffered serious injuries. Both were taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment.
Robert L. Smith was arrested for DWI and Careless and Imprudent Driving.
According to the report, the Chevy was totaled.
The Pettis County Sheriff's Department, Pettis County Fire, and PCAD, all assisted the highway patrol.
