Two Sedalia residents were injured in a weekend wreck that occurred in Pettis County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the wreck at 5:00 Sunday evening, on Highway 50, west of Route MM.

According to the online crash report, a 2005 Chevy traveled off the left side of the road, then returned to the road when the driver over-corrected. The Chevy then slid off the right side of the road, striking a ditch and coming to rest.

The driver, 23-year old Naomi N. Lawson, suffered moderate injuries, while a passenger, 4-year old Jacob D. Yohe, suffered minor injuries.

Lawson and Yohe were both taken to Western Missouri Medical Center, by PCAD, for treatment.
