Two Slater residents were injured in a rollover accident that occurred in Saline County around noon Monday.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 71-year-old Charles W. Hostetter of Slater was the driver of an eastbound 2001 Ford F-150 at 12:05 p.m. on Moccasin Trail, north of 270th Road, when the vehicle ran off the south side of the roadway and overturned, coming to rest on its wheels.

Hostetter suffered minor injuries, while his passenger, 13-year-old Autumn R. Gier of Slater, suffered serious injuries. Both were transported to University Hospital in Columbia by Slater EMS. Neither were wearing a safety device.

The Ford was totaled and towed from the scene.
