A two-vehicle wreck in Pettis County on Friday afternoon resulted in three people receiving injuries.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the accident around 12:45, on Highway 50 at MO-135.

According to the online crash report, a 2013 BMW was slowing down to make a left turn, when a 2002 Chevrolet struck it in the rear. The BMW came to rest in the westbound lane, while the Chevy traveled off the left side of the road and came to rest.

The driver of the BMW, 62-year old Ellen A. Howery, of Osage Beach, and a passenger, 8-year old Joseph Campbell, of Smithton, suffered minor injuries in the wreck. Both were taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment.

The driver of the Chevy, 78-year old Delbert D. Holtzen, of Cole Camp, also received minor injuries but declined medical treatment, according to the report.

Both vehicles were totaled in the wreck.
