Two Warsaw residents suffered serious injuries Wednesday morning when one car crossed the center line and hit another vehicle in Benton County.

The MSHP reports that an eastbound 2003 Cadillac driven by 31-year-old Joshua L. Hilton of Warsaw was on Missouri 52, west of Morarty Avenue at 6:25 a.m., when he crossed the center line and struck a westbound 2009 Pontiac G6 driven by 38-year-old Sara M. Lawson of Warsaw.

Both drivers suffered serious injuries and were transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment. Warsaw-Lincoln Ambulance transported Lawson, while PCAD transported Hilton.

Both vehicles were totaled. Benton County deputies assisted the Patrol at the scene.
