Auditions for “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” will be held Oct. 19-20 at 6:30 p.m., at the Hayden Liberty Center, 111 W. 5th Street in downtown Sedalia.

A poetry workshop will be held at the Hayden Liberty Center, 111 W. 5th Street, in downtown Sedalia on Oct. 19 from 6 to 9 p.m.

Debbie Noland, an experienced teacher and writer, will lead the workshop which will focus on creating imagery to come up with a 10- to 12-line poem, rhyming and unrhyming poems, with a built-in sense of autumn.

There will also be soups and chowders available at the event.

Cost is $20 each, and takes place in the Cooney Studio area of the Liberty Center.

KB Productions presents a stand-up comedy show at the Hayden Liberty Center, 111 W. 5th Street, in downtown Sedalia on Nov. 25, featuring KCMO comedian Ryan Trickey.

The show is designed for those ages 17 or older.

Cost is $10 each and the show starts at 8 p.m.
