We are all dealing with a very hot summer so far.  Record heat in many parts of the country.  We are trying to do all we can to beat the heat.  I suspect the waterparks have been flooded with people to try and cool off.  Have you seen this one in Kansas City? This certainly looks like it will be worth the drive.  Lets learn about Springs Aquatic Center Waterpark.

The park isn't open very long.  It will be open into mid-August.  But there are a lot of options for swimmers to take advantage of.  Perhaps a competition pool is more your taste.  See that below.

Could I interest you in some waterslides? Adults and kids should love this!

If you have young kids, the kiddie pool and slides might be good enough for them and you can keep an eye on them.

I love a lazy river! Make sure you have enough sunblock on for this one, and just chill.

I have to be honest, I miss seeing places to go diving.  So many pools and parks have slides, but don't you just want to try that 1 1/2 off of a diving board once in a while?

This might be a wonderful place to gather the family for a special occasion.  There are birthday packages that are offered. All day passes for guests in the party are included. Since the season is less than a month away, you will be happy to know there are daily rates available.  Season passes are an option too.

Yes, you will be able to get some food there as well.  Make sure to double check their Facebook page HERE to get all the details on when the park is open, as they occasionally close for various maintenance issues.

LOOK: Here are the 50 best beach towns in America

Every beach town has its share of pluses and minuses, which got us thinking about what makes a beach town the best one to live in. To find out, Stacker consulted data from WalletHub, released June 17, 2020, that compares U.S. beach towns. Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.

Keep reading to see if your favorite beach town made the cut.
