Want To Eat In Missouri Cliffside? A Unique Dining Experience For Sure
I am always up for a new dining experience or location. Missouri has so many places that offer great food of various kinds in unique locations or settings. You often will find some of the best foods in places that you would never expect. I think dining at a restaurant (or in this case, an "Grill & Bar") that is under a cliff would count as unique.
Joplin Missouri is a 3 hour drive from Sedalia and this place will certainly be a one of a kind place to eat, and the reviews say the food and service will be top notch. The place is called Undercliff Grill & Bar.
Undercliff is a family owned and operated restaurant, serving fresh food to order. Burgers, beer and more. Breakfast is available on the weekends from 9-11.
The restaurant opened in 1995, and you can't miss it. It is tucked under a chiseled cliff on Old Hwy 61. This place sits across from railroad tracks, so you can watch the trains pass from your seats. The patio looks nice too.
It has a decent sized dining room, and seeing the exposed cliff gives it a more cozy feel. I can't think of any other place where this is the case.
Now lets get to the menu. Lots of options, including the breakfast on the weekends. They have specials often. You can click HERE for their website and links to the menu. How about their popular loaded beef nachos? Plenty of apps for sure.
Sandwiches? Burgers? Yes, they have them too. How about a Parmesan Crusted Prime Rib Sandwich?
Can't go wrong with their burgers. You can get a single or a double and there is a black bean burger. Pair it with fries, rings, or a salad.
Certainly you will have many options for entrees. Prime Rib, steaks, seafood, you can get it all. Pasta, and often some homemade and unique dishes.
There is a kids menu and by all accounts you will get great service. So bring the family. Lots of live music happens here too, so make sure you check out who may be there if you want less noise.
So if this place looks like a cool and unique place to dine while visiting the Joplin area, make sure to check out their Facebook page HERE. You can take the train perhaps. Apparently on Thursdays, there are half price drafts the conductor calls. Have fun!
