The Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce will cut the ribbon on the newest business at the West View Shopping Center early next month. A ribbon cutting ceremony and grand opening for Gordmans will take place from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on March 6. The first official day of business at Gordmans, in the former Goody's location, is the following day, March 7.

According to the Daily Star Journal, Stage Stores, the parent company of both Goody's and Gordmans, is converting all Bealls, Goody's, Peebles and Stage stores to Gordmans.

The West View Shopping Center on N. Charles St. has seen a number of new businesses open over the past several months. Longtime entertainment store Hastings closed in 2016, and the space was vacant until Spirit Halloween opened in the fall. Planet Fitness then took over the space after the Halloween season. The shopping center is also home to Dollar Tree, Shoe Sensation, Ihop, and several other businesses.
