AUTHOR'S NOTE: The Warrensburg Police Department issues their reports to the press once weekly. These reports are for every incident submitted from August 19th through August 25th, 2024. The reports were submitted to KSIS on September 135th, 2024.


On 8/19/24 at approximately 0150 hours, Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Broad Street for a domestic disturbance. A male subject was arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Nathan Paul McMillin, 27, was transported to the Johnson County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold.


On 8/19/2024 at 1209 hours, a convenience store employee reported that an unknown male subject took two pork tenderloin sandwiches and two bags of bagel chips from the store without paying. The employee stated the male subject got into a beat-up SUV and left in an unknown direction. Investigation ongoing.


 

On 08/19/2024 at approximately 1440 hours, Officers responded to 425 Hawthorne Boulevard in regards to an animal bite. Charlotte Newman stated she was dropping some clothing in the donation bin at a gas station at 221 E Young Street when she was bit by a known female subject's dog. The owner of the dog, Holly Ann Wilcoxen, 68, was cited on scene for Failure to Provide Vaccination Records and Vicious Dog.


On 8/19/2024 at 1808 hours, Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Grover Street for a possible suicide attempt. Officers received information from Paige Fleming in Colorado that she had just received a text from a known female subject in Warrensburg who stated she just took some pills to kill herself. Officers were able to locate the female subject and she agreed to go to WMMC for treatment/evaluation.


 

On 8/19/2024 at 2005 hours, Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of South Maguire Street for multiple callers that reported a male subject was blocking the roadway. Santiago Matheus, 53, was arrested for Peace Disturbance and Assault on Law Enforcement by striking. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, processed, and released. A few hours later, Officers found Matheus blocking the roadway on North Maguire Street near East Culton Street. Matheus was arrested for Public Peace Disturbance and cited for Littering and was released on scene.


On 08/19/2024 at 2136 hours, Officers received a report of possible child abuse that occurred on 8/16/2024 around 1800 hours in the 400 Block of Southwest Drive. Investigation is ongoing.


 

On 08/20/2024 at approximately 1409 hours, Officers responded to the Johnson County Care Center at 122 E Market Street in regards to a physical disturbance in progress between two male subjects and a female subject. Neither party wanted to pursue charges.


On 8/20/2024 at 1709 hours, Keichele Napier stated that an unknown subject made charges to her credit card on 8/20/2024 at 1502 hours without her permission. Keichele reported that a female subject from Florida used her Discover credit card to purchase a Patagonia duffel bag and a yearly membership to REI.com. Investigation ongoing.


 

On 08/20/2024 at approximately 1824 hours, Officers responded to the Johnson County Care Center at 122 E Market Street in regards to a known male subject with multiple active Jackson County warrants for his arrest. Shelby Ryan Vassholz, 52, was arrested on the warrants from Jackson County (City of Butler) on original charges of Disorderly Conduct, three counts of Trespassing, Assault, and Animal License violations.  Total bond was set at $6800 cash or surety.

On 08/20/2024 at approximately 2014 hours, Officers were dispatched to 115 East Young Street in regards to a motor vehicle accident involving a motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. The drive of the other vehicle left the scene prior to officers arrived. Investigation ongoing.


 

On 8/20/2024 at 2216 hours, Alexa Tauke reported that a male subject was making threats to bring a gun to the 300 block of Christopher Street. The male subject was contacted and the investigation was forwarded to the University of Central Missouri Department of Public Safety for follow up.


On 08/20/2024 at 2209 hours, UCM Department of Public Safety requested a Drug Recognition Expert to 306 Broad Street for a suspected drug impaired arrestee.


 

On 8/22/24 at 1706 hours, Officers responded to a theft that just occurred in the 400 block of North Maguire Street. A female subject was arrested for an out of state fugitive warrant and was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department. While booking the female subject, she spit in an Officer’s face and later spit on two other officers. Tiffany Danielle Falstitch, 32, was placed in the Johnson County Jail on a 24-hour hold pending charges of Assault in the 4th Degree (Special Victim), and her out of state warrant.  The report does not mention where the out of state warrant was issued.


On 8/22/2024 at 1230 hours, Officers were dispatched to P&P at 505 North Ridgeview Drive in reference to a male subject with a possible warrant. Officers made contact with David Earl Roberson, 56. The warrant was confirmed from Boonville PD on original charges of felony Stealing.  Roberson he was arrested and placed in the Johnson County Jail. Roberson posted $2,000 bond on August 26th.


 

On 8/23/24 at 0311 hours, Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of West Pine Street for a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, a male subject stated that unknown male subject held his hands behind his back and pushed his face into a vehicle. Investigation continues.


On 8/23/2024 at 0736 hours, Alex Willeford reported that his 9mm Smith & Wesson handgun was stolen from his vehicle in the 1300 block of Sandra Drive. Alex stated the handgun had a full magazine loaded in the weapon and two fully loaded magazines were stolen as well. Investigation ongoing.


 

On 8/22/2024 at approximately 1119 hours, an assault occurred at Gateway Education Center involving a juvenile victim. A male subject approached the victim in class and assaulted them. Isaiah D. Sutten, 18, was arrested, processed, issued a citation for assault, and released from the Warrensburg Police Department.


 

On 8/23/2024 at 1103 hours, Officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance at 300 Zoll Street. A male subject attempted to flee from officers during the investigation and resisted officers. After speaking with the female subject and a witness, it was determined that the disturbance was only verbal. Michael J. Brumble, 22, was arrested for Obstructing A Process (Failure to Identify) and Resisting Arrest (Fail to Obey an Officer). Brumble was transported to the WPD, processed then Transported to the Johnson County Jail for an outstanding warrant from Lee's Summit PD on an original charge of No Insurance.


 

On 08/23/2024 at approximately 1228 hours, Nathan Wittmaiter reported that the rear license plate was stolen from his vehicle between 1700 hours on 08/15/2024 and 0630 hours on 08/16/2024. The investigation is ongoing.


On 8/23/2024 at 1516 hours, Officer were dispatched to a thrift store at 138 West Pine Street. An employee reported that a male subject stole several items at approximately 1435 hours. This incident is under investigation.


 

On 8/24/24 at 0005 hours, Officers were flagged down in the 100 block of West Pine Street in regards to an assault that just occurred. Savanah Marie Dawson, 23, was later arrested and subsequently booked and released from WPD on a municipal charge of assault.


On 8/24/24 at approximately 0236 hours, Officers were dispatched to a convenience store at 701 S Maguire Street. An employee reported that two male subjects assaulted a male and female subject in the parking lot. The male and female sustained minor injuries. Investigation ongoing.


 

On 8/24/2024 at 0156 hours, Officers responded to Western Missouri Medical Center at 403 Burkarth Road. A male subject reported that a male subject stabbed him with a knife. Officers determined the assault occurred between 2330 hours on 8/23/2024 and 0050 hours on 8/24/2024 possibly in the area of Ming Street. On 8/25/2024 Justin Kyle Dubreuil, 35, was arrested for Assault in the First Degree, Armed Criminal Action, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon and transported to the Johnson County Jail.


On 8/24/2025 at 1103 hours, Concordia Police Department requested an agency assist in the 200 block of West Russell regarding some stolen property out of Concordia. A female suspect was identified, but was not present. The stolen property was located and collected. The property was later turned over to a Heating and Cooling service, who it was stolen from in Concordia, MO.


 

On 08/24/2024 at approximately 1234 hours, Officers responded to 701 North Devasher Road regarding an assault. John Bray reported that a male subject assaulted him. Joshua Rhea Mabery, 32, was arrested for simple Assault and four Independence warrants. He was booked and released from the WPD for the assault and placed in the Johnson County Jail for the warrants.


 

On 8/24/2024 at 1729 hours, a customer who was at a convenience store at 303 North Maguire Street reported that a male subject stole a can of alcohol and left the store. Officers located the male subject in the 100 block of E. Gay St. drinking from an open can of alcohol. Officers made contact with the store who did not wish to press charges for the theft. Christopher Robin Ellis, 56, was arrested, booked, and cited on scene for the open container violation. He was released to JCAD who transported him to WMMC due to intoxication.


On 8/24/2024 at approximately 1824 hours, I conducted a traffic stop on a Grey Chevrolet Equinox at Washington and Ming Street. The female driver was given a warning for the brake lights but did have an extraditable warrant out of Jackson County. The warrant was confirmed for an original charge of Expired Plates. Shantella M. Gambell, 50, was arrested for the warrant and placed in the Johnson County Jail in lieu of bond.


 

On 08/24/2024 at approximately 1824 hours, Officers took a report over the phone regarding some concerning statements made on two video game profiles, about two Roblox accounts that mentioned killing their parents. It is unknown who these subjects are or where they live at this time. The investigation is ongoing.


On 8/24/2024 at 1912 hours, Officers received information that a known male subject was at WMMC, 403 Burkarth Road, with an active Pettis County warrant. Officers made contact with the male subject, the warrant was confirmed on original charges of felony Assault in the 1st Degree and Property Damage in the 2nd Degree. Novas V. Durley, 34, was arrested for the warrant and placed in the Johnson County Jail. Durley posted $50,000 bond on September 3rd, 2024.


 

On 8/24/2024 at 2257 hours, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a maroon SUV on West Pine and Washington Street. A female subject was arrested for a active Warrensburg warrant on original charges of Expired Plates. Alyvia Riann Archambeau, 25, was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, processed, posted $150 cash bond for the warrant, and released with a traffic citation.


 

On 8/24/24 at 2317 hours, Officers observed a male subject urinating on a tree in the public road right-a-way in the 300 Block of McGoodwin Street. Jordan Lukas Smith, 18, was issued a summons on scene for Urinating in Public.


 

On 8/24/24 at 2326 hours, Officers were checking on a loud party in the 300 Block of McGoodwin Street. Kirsten Malena Harper, 19, was observed throwing a can of beer down in an alley and was later issued a summons for littering. She was given warnings for open contained and minor in possession of alcohol.


 

On 8/25/2024 at 0119 hours, Officers stopped a male subject for littering at 116 W Pine Street. Blake Lee Hawes, 20, was arrested for a charge of Minor in Possession of Alcohol. He was issued a citation and release on scene.


 

On 08/25/2024 at 0108 hours, Johnson County Sheriff’s Office requested a Drug Recognition Expert to 403 Burkarth Road for a suspected drug impaired arrestee.


 

On 08/25/2024 at 0215 hours, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a silver Mazda 3 at 200 Carpenter St. Cierra Joyce Smith, 20, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Minor in Possession, and cited for Failing to Drive in Single Lane. She was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, processed, and released.


On 08/25/2024 at approximately 0932 hours, Officers responded to Johnson County Care Center at 122 E Market Street in regards to an attempt to contact a male and female subject with warrants for their arrest. The two subjects were located, the warrants were confirmed and they were arrested for the active warrants. Regina E. Simms, 65, was arrested for her Johnson County Probation Violation warrant on original charges of felony Possession of a Controlled Substance. Gus T. Franklin, 53, was arrested for his Cass County warrant for Failure to Appear that was issued in April of 2017.  An arraignment has been now scheduled in 2024 for Franklin's original charges of Driving While Revoked (Repeat Offender), Operating a Motor Vehicle With out Maintaining Financial Responsibility, and Improperly Tinted Windows. They were transported to the Johnson County Jail.


 

On 08/25/2024 at approximately 1220 hours, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a Harley Davidson motorcycle in the 100 block of East Young Street. Timothy Carl Gardner, 35, was arrested and transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, booked, and released for Operating Without a Valid Motorcycle Endorsement.


On 08/25/2024 at approximately 1612 hours, Officers responded to 711 East Market Street in regards to a domestic assault. Amanda Payne reported a known male subject assaulted her and then left on foot. Officers were unable to locate the male subject at the time of the call. The male subject returned to the residence later in the afternoon and was arrested.  Kevin Ray Payne, 33, was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, booked, and released with a city summons for Domestic Assault and Resisting Arrest.


 

On 8/25/2024 at approximately 1745 hours, Officers were dispatched to an animal bite at Western Missouri Medical Center, 403 Burkarth Road.  Officers spoke to Patricia Conchola who stated she was bit by a known subject's dog at a gas station at 221 E Young Street on 8/23/2024 at approximately 2000 hours. The unnamed female was later located, arrested for Vicious Dog, and Failure to Vaccinate. The female subject was cited on scene. Officers escorted the female subject and the dog to the animal shelter where it was placed for quarantine.


On 08/25/2024 at approximately 1841 hours, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a white Dodge Challenger at 445 East Gay Street. Jesse Daniel Hickman, 35, was arrested on a warrant from Sedalia Police Department on original charges of Expired Plates. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, processed, and released. Bond of $90 cash was paid on September 9th, 2024.


 

On 8/25/2024 at approximately 2010 hours, Officers responded to a domestic assault in the 700 block of Streck Court. Gabrielle Oson reported that a known male subject had assaulted her. The male suspect left prior to Officers’ arrival.  Officers later located the male subject. He was arrested and transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, booked, and released for domestic assault.  The male was not named in the report.


On 8/25/2024 at 1912 hours, Officers responded to a disturbance at 711 East Market Street. While there, Officers located several stolen items in the residence.  While investigating this call, Officers recovered stolen property at 711 East Market Street from a separate incident. A male subject admitted to stealing a City of Warrensburg traffic cone from the area of Gay Street and Lawson Drive sometime within the last two months. Investigation ongoing.  The male arrestee was not named in the report.
