Two men were seriously injured Thursday morning in a two-vehicle wreck that occurred in Johnson County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the wreck at approximately 11:20, on Highway 50 at Hwy AA.

According to the online crash report, the driver of a 2000 Chevy S10, 26-year old Dillon M. Smith, of Richmond, MO, had a medical episode causing the Chevy to strike the rear of a 2018 Toyota Tacoma, driven by 28-year old Kevin T. Pinkston, of Warrensburg. The Chevy then traveled into the median ditch and overturned.

Smith and a passenger in the Chevy, 38-year old Carl F. Downing, of Warrensburg, suffered serious injuries. Smith and Downing were taken to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment.

Pinkston was reportedly uninjured.
