What did I tell you?  We're out of the cooler and into the fire with mid-90s this week.  What the heck happened to the mid-80s?  Oh well, I guess it couldn't last, but it's summertime and that means getting outside, hitting the great outdoors and having a redneck good time (no pun intended, you'll be getting a red neck from the sunburn).

Anyway, it's Father's Day weekend and what a way to start the weekend than the Great Outdoors Family Fun Day on Saturday at the Sedalia Rod & Gun Club.  It's going to be awesome.  We're going to have a 3D pop up archery shoot with prizes every two hours and a five target sims course paying 50% payback.  There will be two money shoots and a fun shoot.  There will be a long shoot competition with all of the proceeds going to the archery in school program.

There will be bounce houses, dog training seminars from the KC Retriever Club, handgun safety and CCW info, a muzzle loading seminar and fishing tips from local pros.  We'll have face painting, concessions, trap shooting and lessons for $5 a round.  Any kids under 12 shooting the popup or sims courses get a medal.  You'll also get the chance to check out some of the new trucks from W-K Chevy and shoot the hottest bows on the market from Rusty Toad Archery.

So come spend the day or just stop by for awhile.  We'll be out there from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. with live broadcasts from KIX 105 and 92.3 BOB FM.  The first 25 people that find me will get a new Huntin' & Fishin' with Harry logo decal.
