The Stanley Cup playoffs are about halfway through the second round, so it seems like a fair time to wonder, which team is playing the best?

In the East, it's a tough choice between two scorching hot teams. After coming back to eliminate Toronto, the Boston Bruins are up 3-0 on the New York Rangers. In the other East matchup, the Pittsburgh Penguins are dominating their series against the Ottawa Senators, up 3-1 following Wednesday's 7-3 thrashing.

Out West, both remaining series could tilt either way. The Detroit Red Wings look to be in quite a groove, though. They are up on the regular season's top team, the Chicago Blackhawks, two games to one. On the coast, the San Jose Sharks and L.A. Kings are tied, 2-2, with neither team really showing any likelihood of dominating the other.
