Willie J. McQuitty, 91, of Sedalia, died Sunday, September 23, 2012, at Four Seasons Living Center.

She was born June 1, 1921, in Sweet Springs, a daughter of the late Perry A. and Mary M. (Jordan) Pannell. On May 9, 1942, in Marshall, she married Monty L. McQuitty, who preceded her in death in October 1973.

She was raised and educated in Marshall and was a 1940 graduate of Marshall High School. She was a member of East Sedalia Baptist Church. She worked at the Sedalia Water Department as a billing clerk for 20 years. She enjoyed sewing.

She is survived by a son, Richard “Dick” McQuitty, of Sedalia.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Monty Gene McQuitty; and two sisters, Catherine McGurk and Bertha Lyddon.

Visitation will be 10 am-10:45 am, Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel, followed by a graveside service at 11 am at Crown Hill Cemetery with Rev. Scott Braun officiating.
