Woman Discovers Strange Man Behind the Wheel of Her Car

Sedalia Police arrested 32-year-old Jacob Edward Masters of Sedalia after an incident that happened at 1601 E. Broadway on Thursday around 7 a.m.

According to a report, the victim reported seeing a white male in the driver's seat of her car when she exited the store. Victim said when she made contact with the suspect, he claimed he needed a ride. When he got out of her car, he was holding her cell phone. He then threw down the  phone and proceeded to run away.

Officers later located and arrested Masters. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was held pending the formal filing of charges of 2nd Degree Tampering with the Property of Another, and Stealing.

The case was sent to the prosecutor for review.
