Thai Couple Makes Out Well By Smashing Record for World’s Longest Kiss
A married Thai couple spent Valentine’s Day in style, setting the record for world’s longest kiss.
So, just how long did these lovebirds remain lip-to-lip?
Akekachai Tiranarat, 44, and his wife Raksana, 33, managed to stay lip-locked for 58 hours, 35 minutes and 58 seconds. Wow, that's even longer 'Lincoln.'
The duo took part in the World’s Longest Continuous Kiss event, a promotion celebrating Valentine’s Day outside of Bangkok. Nine couples participated in the contest, which got underway February 12. For their passionate performance, the winning couple -- which also took home the award in 2011 -- won $3,300 and a pair of diamond rings.
The crowd favorite was Pannajet Yomjinda, 74, and his wife, Suwanna Yomjinda, 72, who’ve been married for 50 years. It's unclear how long their smooch lasted, but who cares -- sometimes it's not about winning or losing, but about showing you've still got that mojo.
The contest was fierce. Couples could only drink from a straw if their lips continued to touch and referees had to go with them to the bathroom while they continued to swap spit. Eww, creepy!
The old record, by the way, was set last year by a same-sex couple that kissed for 50 hours, 25 minutes and one second.
You have to wonder if they'll be any smack talk now because it sure sounds like everyone involved is more than happy to give some lip.
