Young Students Celebrate Dr. Seuss’ Birthday at Pettis County Early Childhood Co-op
Students on the morning session Blue Team at the Pettis County Early Childhood Cooperative on Thursday, Feb. 28, got an early start on celebrating the birthday of Dr. Seuss, (Theodor Seuss Geisel) which is Saturday, March 2, by enjoying green eggs and ham.
Teacher Madalyn Cramer helped the students crack the eggs into a bowl, then some of the students took turns whisking the eggs to break up the yolks. The class counted along as Cramer added four drops of green food coloring to the bowl.
After the eggs were cooked in an electric skillet, the students stepped up like Sam I Am and gave them a try. The verdict was nearly unanimous: They do so like green eggs and ham.
WHISK: Pettis County Early Childhood Cooperative student Mira Ellison uses a whisk to mix up eggs under the supervision of teacher Madalyn Cramer on Thursday, Feb. 28, at the co-op.
READ: Paraprofessional Dyana Cunningham reads "Green Eggs and Ham," By Dr. Theodor Seuss Geisel, to student Craelynn Wisler while her classmates helped crack eggs.
EATING: Students Gavin Howard and Alijah Belton try green eggs and ham and like it so much they ask for second helpings.
