1 Dies, Another Injured in Southeast Missouri Shooting

Authorities are investigating after one man was killed and another was injured in a shooting at park in southeast Missouri.

KFVS-TV reports that the shooting happened Sunday in Sikeston. The Sikeston Department of Public Safety says one person is in custody.

Captain Jim McMillen says shots were fired after an argument between two groups. The condition of the wounded man wasn't immediately known.

Deputies with the New Madrid and Scott County sheriff's departments are helping with the investigation.
