Pettis County Sheriff Asks For Help Solving Overnight Shooting

On Saturday, July 27 at approximately 4:05 a.m., a Pettis County Deputy was at Bothwell Regional Health Center on an unrelated matter when he overheard several people enter the ER advising that one of them had been shot.

An investigation was initiated.

Shortly before their arrival, one adult and four juveniles were traveling in a Honda Accord southbound on South New York Avenue near East 24th Street when a vehicle fell in behind.

Occupant(s) of the following vehicle fired several rounds at the Honda, and one of those rounds struck a 15-year-old subject in the leg as he/she was ducked down in the rear seat of the Honda; that subject is being treated.
