
Two Pettis County Residents Hurt When Driver Swerves to Avoid Deer
Two Pettis County residents were injured in a one-vehicle crash that occurred Tuesday night on Route E.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 2008 Mercury Mariner, driven by a 32-year-old man from Sedalia, was on Route E, south of Maltsbarger Road (southeast of Green Ridge, just before 8:30 p.m., when the driver swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway and the Mercury went down an embankment and struck a metal shed.
Injured were the driver and his passenger, a 28-year-old woman from Green Ridge. He suffered minor injuries while she suffered moderate injuries. He was transported by PCAD to Bothwell Regional Health Center, while she was transported by PCAD to University of Missouri at Columbia. Neither were wearing their seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report.

The Mercury mariner was totaled and towed by InMotion.
