
Six Arrested on Drug Charges on Maltsbarger Road
On Monday March 24, deputies with the Pettis County Special Emergency Response Team, and detectives with the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 19532 Maltsbarger Road (southwest of Sedalia).
During execution of the search warrant, eight people were detained on the property. A search of the property led to the recovery of fentanyl, methamphetamine, drug packaging supplies, and a firearm. Six of the eight people detained were arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail.
Warrants were applied for the six individuals, including:
Samantha Batzel, 37, of Green Ridge - Trafficking 2nd Degree, Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Keeping or Maintaining a Public Nuisance, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Methamphetamine) - No Bond. Batzel has an open case in the Pettis County Courts and the bond on that case was revoked. Batzel is being held on no bond for that case as well.
Justin Schoen, 39, of Columbia - Trafficking 2nd Degree, Delivery of a Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - Prior Drug Offender. $150,000 bond (cash or surety).
Jody Morrill, 62, of Green Ridge - Trafficking 2nd Degree and Possession of a Controlled Substance. $100,000 bond (cash or surety).
Marala Helms, 59, of Green Ridge - Trafficking 2nd Degree and Possession of a Controlled Substance. $100,000 bond (cash or surety).
Kalmon Roth, 33, of Green Ridge - Possession of a Controlled Substance (Since Released).
Tiffany Morrill, 36, of Green Ridge - Possession of a Controlled Substance (OR Bond).
This was the third search warrant executed at the property in the last 18 months, it was noted.

A total of 17 individuals have been arrested for various drug, firearm, and stolen property charges over the three search warrants.
Based on this information, a property seizure has been initiated through the Pettis County Courts and that property seizure has been executed, said Pettis County Sheriff Brad Anders.
