On the afternoon of October 24th, Deputies were notified about illegal narcotics found inside the Pettis County Jail.

The suspect in question, Lindsey Rose Keeling, 35, of Sedalia, had been arrested by Sedalia Police on four Pettis County municipal warrants. The warrants were issued in January 2024 on Animal Ordinance Violations. The violations concerned two dogs, one large male Husky and one female blue Pit Bull. Both animals were allowed to run at large, and did not have licenses or vaccination records. Bond on those Animal Violation tickets was set at $298.00 cash only.

While being booked at the Pettis County Jail, Keeling was walked through the full body scanner. The probable cause report notes that every arrestee is required to go through the body scanner to check for illegal contraband that is not allowed inside the Jail. After using the body scanner on Keeling, Deputies noticed a foreign object secreted on her person. She was then escorted to the booking room bathroom. Keeling retrieved a glass smoking pipe from her vagina.
