
Verbal Dispute Erupts Into Physical Assault; Sedalia Man Arrested
On Monday at 9:10 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to the 1200 block of East 9th for a domestic assault.
A female reported that a verbal dispute had occurred with her significant other that escalated into a physical assault. Officers observed visible injuries consistent with the victim’s account. The victim declined medical treatment but did want to press charges.
The suspect left the residence prior to officers' arrival, but was later located during a traffic stop in the 800 block of South Limit.
28-year-old Nickolas Henry Cook was then arrested (without further incident) for 3rd degree aggravated domestic assault. Cook was also wanted on a warrant for 4th degree assault.
Cook was taken to the Pettis County Jail.

His bond on the warrant was $2,500 cash or surety. He later bonded out on Wednesday.
