On Wednesday night, Sedalia Police responded to Wood’s Supermarket, 701 East Broadway, for a complaint about threats being made.

The officer spoke with two sets of individuals, who said a subject come up to their car and started yelling and threatening to shoot them. A similar incident occurred at Bud’s Laundromat, 301 South Engineer.

Victims stated a man with a firearm approached their car door. The victim then drove off and called police. The subject was later located in the 1200 block of East 4th and 44-year-old Paul Frank Frenandez was arrested. He was found to be in possession of a pistol.

A computer check showed he is prohibited from possession a firearm. He now faces a charge of 1st degree harassment, unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a concealable weapon.

His bond was set at $75,000 cash or surety.
