2 Smithton Residents Injured in Pettis County Wreck

Two Smithton residents were injured Monday afternoon in a one-vehicle wreck that occurred near Olive Branch Road in Pettis County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the wreck at approximately 4:30, on Hwy-135 at Olive Branch Road.

According to the online crash report, a 2012 Toyota Rav 4 traveled off the roadway, impacted a ditch, then became airborne and traveled across another road. The Toyota then struck another ditch and came to rest in a field.

The driver, 73-year old William A. Sawford, suffered minor injuries, while a passenger, 65-year old Donna K. Sawford, suffered moderate injuries.

Both were taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center, by PCAD, for treatment.
