You can save big on $2 Tuesday, at the Missouri State Fair and help support a great cause.

The Missouri Farmers Care Food Drive will take place August 13, and gate admission to the fair that day is $2.00, with a minimum donation of 2 canned goods to benefit Feeding Missouri!

In addition to $2 admission, be on the lookout for $2 carnival rides, for most rides, all day, and $2 specials at select concessions and vendors all day.

Missouri FFA will host their Third Annual Food Insecurity Service Day, with over 750 FFA members in attendance. Their goal is described as reducing childhood food insecurity in Missouri and to pack over 100,000 child-friendly meals that will be distributed to six food banks across our state.

Fairgoers will have the opportunity to stop by the Agriculture Building to learn more about food insecurity at the canned food display, which is sponsored by Woods Supermarket, constructed of 3,000 cans of food.

All cans used in the display will be added to the Food Drive collection effort and head to food banks following the Fair.

The 2019 Missouri State Fair takes place in Sedalia, August 8 - 18.
