Three people were injured early Wednesday morning after a vehicle overturned in Johnson County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the wreck at approximately 2:20, on Highway W just north of Olive Street.

According to the online crash report, a 2018 E-One Typhoon Fire Truck traveled off the road and struck a ditch. The truck then traveled across a driveway, struck a mailbox and overturned.

The driver, 65-year old Norman M. Maloney, of Kingsville, MO, suffered serious injuries. He was taken to Research Medical Center by Lifeflight for treatment.

Two passengers, 21-year old Mercedes R. Handley, of Kingsville, and 27-year old Timothy D. McConnell, of Pleasant Hill, MO, suffered minor injuries. They were taken to Western Missouri Medical Center, by JCAD, for treatment.

All three people were wearing safety devices. The truck was totaled and towed from the scene.
