A Holden woman was killed in a one-vehicle accident that occurred Thursday morning in Johnson County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 2019 Buick Enclave, driven by a 54-year-old woman from Holden, was on Missouri Route O in the 500 block around 6:30 a.m., when the Buick traveled off the right side of the roadway. The driver overcorrected and the Buick overturned and struck an embankment.

The woman was pronounced dead by JCAD Supervisor Tabitha Parrot at 6:56 a.m. The body was taken to Sweeney-Phillips and Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg. She was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report.

The Buick was totaled and towed by Warrensburg Tow.
