Five people were injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred Saturday afternoon in Johnson County.

 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that an eastbound 2005 Ford Escape, driven by a 17-year-old male from Knob Noster, was in the 1080 block of Southwest Missouri 58 (east of Holden), around 3:15 p.m., when the car entered an S-curve and the rear tires slid on the pavement. The driver overcorrected and the Ford traveled off the roadway, impacted the ditch and overturned.

 

The driver received minor injuries, while his passengers all suffered moderate injuries, including a 15-year-old female, a 13-year-old female, an 11-year-old male and a 9-year-old male, all from Knob Noster. All were transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by JCAD.

The Ford Escape was totaled and towed by Warrensburg Tow.
